We are grateful for recent donations from
- Interact Cambridge, a networking organisation for property and construction industry professionals, has kindly donated £1,250. Some of this money we have earmarked for the Great Shelford Friendship Club in support of their day trip programme, with the rest going towards the refurbishment of our older almshouses.
- The Shelford Feast has kindly donated £600. This will support our annual Christmas food bag programme whereby we distribute essential foods and some seasonal treats to local households on tight budgets. Last year we distributed 36 Christmas food bags and we intend to do similar this year.
While recent news has focused on our award-winning new almshouse development, we continue to invest in improving the Charity’s older properties. Our refurbishment programme mostly involves kitchen replacement and home insulation improvement. The Charity’s resources, however, are limited and we are always grateful for further support in the form of donations from local businesses, organisations and individual donors. Donations may be made via our website, www.gsvc.org.uk/support-us, or you may wish to contact our clerk at [email protected] or on 07979 184273.
