The Charity has been in existence for 130 years and – with your support – we hope to continue for another 130 years.
We could always do more but our resources are limited. There are, however, many ways you can help:
- Donate £50 towards our Christmas Food Bank
- Donate £500 towards our almshouse kitchen refurbishment programme. 32 of our 53 almshouses date from the 1990s and are in need of refurbishment. In particular, the kitchens are looking tired and are badly in need of replacement. We aim to replace a few every year but, with your help, we could accelerate this work. Each kitchen refurbishment typically costs around £8000.
- Donate a larger amount towards our energy saving programme. We aim to improve the energy efficiency of our 32 older almshouses by adding cavity wall insulation and installing solar panels. We will be applying for grants in support of these improvements but the grants are likely to fall short of the estimated £500,000 cost. Your help would be much appreciated.
