We have a 3-bedroom almshouse home becoming available in June.

Almshouse residents do not pay rent as such – but pay a monthly maintenance contribution which is set at 50% of the rental rate for similar private property in the village.

Applications are invited from people who are:

	–	resident in Great Shelford or who have a strong connection to the village
	–	and are on low incomes
	–	and in housing need
	–	and are capable of independent living.

John Huntingdon’s Charity (JHC) can provide assistance with completing the application form.

Applications should be submitted to JHC by 2 June 2023. They will be processed in confidence by JHC – and anonymised – before being forwarded to the Parochial Charities trustees for shortlisting. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an informal interview.
