Food bags distributed to households on tight budgets.
“The treats we take for granted can be unaffordable luxuries for some” said Jaspaul Hill, Great Shelford Village Charity Director, as she set about raising funds for the purchase of Christmas food bags. Working closely with Shelford and Stapleford primary schools, essential foods and seasonal treats were packed and distributed to some 36 families in the area.
This was made possible thanks to generous donations from The Free Church and Shelford Feast, as well as the Village Charity. A special thanks go to the staff at the Co-op who gave their time to pack the bags.
The Great Shelford Village Charity added £50 food vouchers to the bags destined for Great Shelford families.
The directors wish the donors and recipients a very happy Christmas.
