Thank you, Co-op shoppers!

Wednesday November 02, 2022

Thanks to Co-op Members who nominated Great Shelford Parochial Charities as their local cause, this year we have received almost £2,000 towards our More’s Meadow conservation programme.

This new money will pay for bird feeders and boxes around More’s Meadow where the charity owns and manages six acres of publicly accessible land. Quite apart from the conservation benefits, more birdsong will add to the well being of our almshouse residents nearby, as well as the wider village community.

Our allotments, gardens, newly planted woodland, heritage orchard, open land and park benches are key village assets and provide fine views towards Cambridge and the Gog Magog Hills.

So, Co-op cardholders . . . when you buy selected Co-op products and services, not only does 2p for every £1 spent go into your membership account but the Co-op also allocates another 2p to local causes such as ourselves.

Members can go online and select the local cause they would like to support. You can change the cause you support at any time.

So if you are a Co-op card holder, please go to membership.coop.co.uk/causes/ and nominate Great Shelford Parochial Charities as your local cause.

And please remember, our supporters can also make direct donations via our website.
