We have a 2-bedroom almshouse home becoming available in September.

Monday July 21, 2025

Almshouse residents are ‘appointees’, not tenants, living in our almshouses under licence, paying a monthly maintenance contribution (MMC) rather than a rent.

The Charity sets its MMC at 50% of the rental rate for similar private property in the village.

Applications are invited from people who are:

  • resident in Great Shelford or who have a strong connection to the village
  • and are on low incomes
  • and in housing need
  • and are capable of independent living.

Application forms are available from:
