Publicly accessible, these fields are managed for recreation and conservation, with allotments, footpaths, benches and views towards Cambridge and the chalkland of the Gog Magog Hills.

Thanks to generous donations from private individuals and local businesses such as the Co-op, as well as grants from The Woodland Trust and The Tree Council, we have planted over 250 trees, including mature specimens, of native species including field maple, hornbeam, hazel, hawthorne, beech, crab apple, oak, wild service and rowan.

We have also established a community garden and orchard, and laid a wheelchair accessible path alongside raised planting beds.

Furture plans include establishing a winter bird food plot, providing seed- and insect-rich habitat, and further nesting habitats, including bird boxes and a swift tower.

The Charity’s land  is open to all and there are three points of access: at the end of Bridge Close / More’s Meadow, at the end of The Hectare, and via the railway footbridge. The Hectare entrance is designed for wheelchair access. Do come and visit; we look forward to seeing you.
